Why not plan a trip to the Bowmanville Zoo.

The Bowmanville Zoo is perfect for children of all ages. We were able to fill our day with everything the zoo had to offer, it was just enough for our little ones.
They have a playground and a splash pad, which is perfect for hot days, there are also camel rides available ($6.00 per child), they had horse drawn carriage rides (which the girls LOVED), face painting, animal encounter shows, animal feedings, and bags of animal food available for purchase at the front entrance.
The Children were also able to take a picture and hold a lion cub ($10.00) an experience very few people will ever have in their life, this made out trip extra special.
